Seamus O'Mallie - Alex Alexander
   
 
Alex began playing violin while in the third grade and is currently a member of the Dartmouth Middle School String Ensemble and Orchestra. Two years after taking up the violin, Alex decided to expand his musical knowledge and learn the trumpet. Alex now plays the trumpet in the Dartmouth Middle School Band.

Alex also plays with the Acushnet Classic Ensemble Orchestra, performing on both violin and trumpet, and has participated in orchestra and band competitions regionally and in Canada.

Alex has received awards for his musical abilities while in elementary school and has performed in several plays and productions. He presently studies violin with Mr. Wen-Zehn Ni, former Concert Master/Soloist of the Shanghai Philharmonic, violin soloist of Peking Opera Company of Shanghai. Mr. Ni studied music at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music (B.A.), New England Conservatory of Music (M.A.) and at the Hart School of Music (Diploma).
 
Alex makes his film debut in "The Busker." He enjoys sailing, golf, swimming, skateboarding and collecting model cars. Alex is also an avid reader, and loves his two kittens and dog Inga. Alex has a younger brother Blake who also plays violin, loves Opera and football, and recently began to study the piano.
